Plain answers about the car in your driveway.

Fleeter is the platform behind your employer’s fleet or your novated provider. We do not sell finance and we will not try to. What we can do is explain how this actually works, in English, and show you what your own screen looks like.

A driver's lease and running budget: status, distance, end value and what comes out of each pay, in plain language.

Your own screen, as it is built. Sample data, not a real person’s.

The one that matters

What does a novated lease actually cost?

A quote is made of parts: the cost of the money, which is the financier’s base rate plus whatever margin sits on top, then the fees, then your running costs. Separately from all of that, there is the tax benefit.

A fair quote shows each part on its own line. If yours shows one savings number and no breakdown, ask for the breakdown. If you do not get one, that tells you something too.

  • A three way deal: you lease it, your employer pays it from your salary, and it comes with you if you change jobs
  • Some of it comes out before tax and some after, which is where the benefit comes from
  • For an eligible electric vehicle, potentially no fringe benefits tax at all
  • The big amount at the end is the residual, set by ATO rules and not invented by your provider
What you get

The small things, without a phone call.

Book a service and pick the workshop. Photograph a receipt to claim it. Update the odometer in ten seconds. See what came out of this pay and what it was for. Check what is left in your running cost budget before you decide about the tyres.

And when you change employers, the lease, the vehicle and its whole history come with you. It is a reconfiguration, not a restart.

What it knows about you

The record is about the car, not about you.

The vehicle keeps a record of itself: what it cost, what work has been done on it, what it is worth. That record follows the car when it is sold, and nothing about you goes with it.

Your own details, your claims and your deductions sit in your account, visible to you and to whoever administers your program, because they have to be. They are not part of the vehicle’s history, and the platform does not build a picture of where you have been.

  • The vehicle record names the workshop that serviced it, not you and not the manager who approved the work
  • Your claims and deductions are yours, and are not shown to a future owner of the car
  • What you can see, your employer can explain. Ask them what they hold and why
If you do not have a login

Your employer or provider is the right door to knock on.

We do not create driver accounts directly, because your vehicle belongs to a program that somebody else runs. If your employer or provider is on Fleeter, ask them for access. If they are not, and you think they should be, tell us and we will take it from there.

Either way, if you have a quote in front of you and something about it does not add up, send it to us. We will tell you what we see. We are not selling you anything.

Got a quote that does not add up?

Send it over. We will tell you what each line is, what is normal, and what is not. No sales call, no finance product, no newsletter.
